| Map of the Regions of Italy | The Marche Region is situated on Italy's Adriatic coast, and borders Tuscany and Umbria to the West, Emilia Romagna to the North and Abruzzo to the South. As a region it benefits from having access both to the mountains and the sea. Barchi is well positioned for both accessing the beach at Senigallia, and for exploring the Marche region in general, which boasts good wineries, a range of outdoor activities, many historical sites and museums, and some very interesting ancient towns, such as Fano, Urbino and Corinaldo, all set to a backdrop of gorgeous natural landscapes. Neighbouring Umbria can be reached within an hour, and includes the famous cities of Gubbio, Perugia and Assissi, which are well worth visiting. Detailed Map of the Marche Region |
