With more than 25 award-winning wineries within a 45 minute drive of Barchi, you are bound to find one that suits your taste - maybe more!

And while the local red wine labels list names such as Rosso Piceno, Colli Pesaresi or Lacrima di Morro d'Alba the grapes used in production include Montepulciano and Sangiovese that you will recognize from better known wines such as Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino or Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.  Some of the local white wines are unique to our region and deserve a taste such as Bianchello del Metauro (grown around Barchi) and Verdiccio dei Castelli di Jesi.

Below are a few of our favorites - all of which have their own tasting rooms (cantine) for you to visit.  Enjoy!

 Le Cantine*

Fiorini - just down the hill and within walking distance of Barchi, Fiorini is a third generation family run business that produces lovely reds and whites.  We especially like their white Campioli (Bianchello del Matauro) and the classic red Bartis.
Guerrieri - with 200 hectares of arable land, the Guerrieri family produces enjoyable wines, olive oils and more.  Try the "Galileo" Colli Pesaresi Sangiovese Reserva DOC for a treat.  Easily reachable enroute to Fano from Barchi.
Laurentina - it is difficult to know where to start with this rising star of a region run by brothers Alessandro and Andrea Perticaroli.  Several of their wines have received Robert Parker scores of 90+ (outstanding).  Drop by, say "buon giorno," taste a few wines and take home a case or two.  You won't be disappointed!
Lucchetti - a lovely tasting room with helpful staff, be sure to try the inky-purple Selezione Guardengo Lacrima di Morro d'Alba for a unique experience.  And if you enjoy grappa, then look no further.
Antica Cantina Sant'Amico - a limited yet quality selection of wines focusing on Rosso Piceno, Lacrima di Morro d'Alba and Verdicchio with DOC notations.
Marconi Vino e Arte - a wide range of colorfully labelled bottles easily recognizable in wine stores throughout the region.  We enjoy the Falconiere Lacrima di Morro d'Alba and the Corona Reale Classical Superior Verdicchio.
